A story book idea about a young girl who finds it hard to make friends, she prefers to play among the cool rock pools, watching the crabs and shrimps and snails. Feeling the textures of the slimey anemones and rough limpets. Arranging the sea weed to makes faces.

She watches the other children, finds it hard to understand their games. She starts to protect the crabs and creatures from the kicking, flying sand. Returns the beached jellyfish to the sea. Gathers seaweed to make shelter for the rock pool animals. Slowly the noisy children start to help her.

She becomes the leader without trying, by following her instincts and being kind and purposeful.
